Hidden Costs of Working from Home

"I want to work from home."

Working from home seems like a no-brainer.
No commute, no time wasted getting ready (I mean, I work in my gym clothes), and you can eat all day.
Life is good! But what are the hidden costs?
My fiancée and I both work from home. That means if I work from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. (both of our normal-ish hours), I am spending 7 hours a day in the same space as my fiancée, with a mindset to focus on work and things I need to do.
The issues? I am training my brain not to necessarily appreciate and value our time together.
We also are dedicated to date nights, phone-down walks and meals, and creative time together to paint, write, or draw. But still, I have noticed when I go on autopilot, I don't think, "How can I spend this time with her?" I think, "What work can I do?"

This is the same for when I am home in general... my brain associates home with work since I am doing that 7+ hours a day!
Oftentimes, we look at the positives in life, but we are not looking into the hidden costs.
It's something to reflect on with everything we do!
