Retirement... "Worst Case Scenario Insurance"

Tim Ferriss says it well, "Retirement is 'Worst Case Scenario Insurance!' "

And I agree.

Anyway, the concept of trading life for a potential future seems very risky. We are brainwashed to believe it is not risky and it is safe. But who knows what will happen? I believe the least risky option is to love now, fully.

Use your best years to do what you love.

A person in a blue shirt and red scarf reaches toward a full moon and comet in a clear night sky, creating a sense of wonder.

You can still plan to save and retire, but not at the cost of excitement, expressing yourself, or living by repressing your main emotions!

But do NOT sacrifice life now for LATER.

LATER may not come.

I find that being rooted in truth helps my discipline. If I am rooted in truth, what makes me happy can coexist with a future that I am planning for.

Ask yourself, "Are you sacrificing life now for later? If the answer is yes, ask yourself, "How can I not?"

Simple questions, but profound answers.

I found out that I am. I love my life, but often do not find myself excited about the day-to-day... Or should I say... as excited about it as I would be to explore a new mountain range or dive into a new culture?

Silhouetted person climbing a steep hill under a bright blue sky, creating a sense of determination and solitude.

Dream big.

Reverse repression.

Life for the now!
