The 2 Types of Gratitude

We hear a lot about gratitude. It's the highest level of frequency.

It’s a state of receivership, often referred to as the emotional state to be in for manifesting your dreams.
Oftentimes, reminding you to be in gratitude is a common theme in self-help books.
I believe there are two major forms of gratitude.
Gratitude for things we already have in the material world, and gratitude for opportunities and potentials out in the ether.
Let’s discuss both and their power.
Gratitude for something we have in material form can serve as a reminder to build our habit of gratitude. Building this habit is important so we can be grateful even when we don’t have what we want but still have the opportunity and possibility to attain it.
When I practice gratitude for something I already have, one of the best ways is by giving it more meaning and value.
An example is eyesight. I have good eyesight. I’ve never had a problem with it, and I hope it stays that way.
But I realize that hoping it stays that way means I obviously value it and should be grateful for it.
So, how do I show that gratitude so much that I can prove to myself or someone else I am grateful for it? The answer is by using it and putting in the work to maintain it.
I recently spoke with a proactive client at my social media marketing agency who is an eyesight coach. She teaches exercises to improve eyesight. I reached out to her proactively (mind you, while my vision is perfect), to learn exercises to practice good eyesight. This allows me to continue to demonstrate gratitude for my eyesight.
If you’re healthy, show gratitude by continuing to work for your health.
If you’re wealthy, show gratitude by managing your money smartly and effectively.
Showing gratitude for what you already have is important and critical for success.

So what's the second type of gratitude?
Showing gratitude for things you don’t have. Things that might be possible in your future or opportunities that could come.
This is where things get exciting.
Imagine you are considering how an entrepreneurial journey may turn out.
Or you are considering a lengthy trip across the world and wondering if you'll have stable income when you are back.
Now, imagine having gratitude for your ideal outcome BEFORE it manifests in the material world?
In my opinion, this is the best use of your time: looking at future possibilities and feeling deep gratitude for something that may or may not come.
It is the opposite of worrying and anxiety.
You don’t know how it will turn out, so why not express gratitude and train yourself to believe it will go in the right direction?
The beautiful thing is this applies to almost everything in all situations. It generally creates internal energy, motivation, and focus for the first type of gratitude practice, where you show gratitude by appreciating what you already have.
For example, if I want to be healthy, I have gratitude now for the health I do have, my material form. I also have gratitude for the opportunity to heal and become healthier. That motivates me to take action to improve my health, which ties back to the first type.

This is a fun skill to practice (why not be in a good mood), it is a skill (meaning you can get better at it), and many believe it is the key to manifestation.
Gratitude is an amazing state to be in. Not only because it’s the state of receivership and the basis for manifestation, but because it’s simply fun to be in.
